Frequently Asked Questions
What is your approach to therapy?
1
At my core, I am a relational therapist. I believe the bond we create together provides the foundation for all other forms of healing to take place.
The other reason I am a relational therspist is because I believe that relational trauma is at the root of most of our suffering. It can be present in our family of origin dynamics, our friendships, and our partnerships. It can occur in the relationships we have with our bodies, our values, and the world.
Relationships often have betrayal trauma hiding beneath the surface. This form of trauma can manifest in insidious ways. It may seem like betrayal is a strong word, but I believe betrayal is largely responsible for the erosion of safety in many aspects of our lives. When someone promises presence and delivers absence, when someone inflates their emotional availability, when someone lies by omission, these are all forms of betrayal. All of these events can impact our sense of self.
I value generative, relational work because it can serve as a counterbalance to the pain we experience elsewhere in our lives. When we form a clinical relationship that can survive rupture and repair, that holds integrity at its core, and that encourages personal evolution, that is revolutionary in the face of so much suffering.
I believe that you are the hero of your own life. I am here to walk beside you as you shed all the layers of conditioning that cloud your true essence. I believe that therapy is inherently political. I refuse to examine life’s stressors without including an analysis of all the ways that oppressive systems continue to inflict harm upon all of us. I value inclusivity in all realms. I run a permanent Telehealth practice because I believe this is the only mechanism to deliver truly accessible care. I don’t use AI anywhere in my work. Every word on this website is mine. I have never participated in a venture capitalist platform to deliver therapy services, and I never will.
Most of all, I know that we are all made of courage, and I want to help you step into your power.

I provide 55-minute psychotherapy sessions to teens and adults. I also provide clinical consultation to anyone who holds an active license.
Rather than listing all the ailments I can treat, I would rather speak directly to your heart:
If you are searching for meaning during these trying times, if you find that your life looks different than you hoped it would, if you have experienced losses and hardships that you feel no one else can ever understand, there is a place for you here.
If you resonated with my approach to this work, then the best way to get started is to fill out the contact form on this website. Please tell me a little bit about what you are looking for out of therapy or consultation, if you have insurance, and your availability. I will do my best to get back to you within 48 hours. I also offer free 20-minute consultation sessions so that we can make sure that we are a good fit.
